US Online Poker Sites: Compare the Room, Product and State
Use the Pennsylvania poker directory as a starting point, then distinguish peer-to-peer poker, casino poker games, fees and tournament conditions.

Start with the product you intend to play
“Online poker” can mean a room where players compete against one another, a casino table game against the house, or video poker. A shared brand name does not make these products interchangeable. Before comparing a poker room, identify the exact product, domain and state where you will play.
What the Pennsylvania directory actually shows
At our October 2, 2026 check, the PGCB online poker directory includes links labelled BetMGM and World Series of Poker, among other brands. These are regulator-listed starting points, not a claim that every linked landing page currently offers every poker format. Some links go to a wider account or casino destination. Follow through to the exact poker client and its current terms before treating it as an available room.
| Starting point | Evidence checked | Still to establish |
|---|---|---|
| BetMGM | Listed in PGCB’s online poker directory | The current poker client, available formats, cash-table fees and tournament schedule. |
| World Series of Poker | Listed in PGCB’s online poker directory | The applicable state account, current tournament conditions and withdrawal requirements. |
Compare cash-game fees and tournament fees differently
For a cash table, record how the room charges rake, its cap and any rules about when rake is collected. For a tournament, separate the amount entering the prize pool from the entry fee. As a hypothetical example, a $10 prize-pool contribution plus a $1 entry fee costs $11. The $1 fee is 10% of the pool contribution, or about 9.09% of the total payment. Use the denominator stated in the room’s own presentation.
A large tournament is not evidence of every table’s liquidity
Check the format and playing times you actually need. A published event schedule does not demonstrate that a particular cash-game stake has enough active seats when you log in. Likewise, a guarantee in tournament terms does not tell you how many opponents will enter or what your probability of winning will be. We have not measured live seat availability or run account tests.
Conditions to record before choosing a room
- State eligibility, location verification and the exact account or client.
- Cash-game rake and tournament entry-fee definitions.
- Re-entry, late registration, cancellation and prize rules.
- Any shared-player-pool statement and its applicable jurisdictions.
- Payment, identity verification and complaint procedures.
The original page URL is preserved with independent writing. For a broader framework, read our poker comparison criteria. A regulator listing and an operator’s terms support narrower claims than “best for everyone” or “fastest payout,” so those are the limits used here.
