Pennsylvania approves MGM and CountR consent agreements

The September 23 board release describes separate licensing matters and payments.

Two separate licensing matters

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board approved two consent agreements at its September 23 meeting. Its release reports a $50,250 fine against MGM Resorts International for failing to file a principal licensing application on time.

The second agreement concerns CountR GmbH, an unapproved change of control and unpaid licensing fees. The regulator says the German company will pay $50,000 under the agreement to settle its unpaid licence.

Read each action on its own terms

The two payments relate to different parties and different regulatory issues. Adding them into a single headline figure would obscure what each agreement addresses. The release should also not be read as a statement that every MGM property or every related website has lost its licence.

A consent agreement is a specific regulatory record. Its scope and conditions matter more than a broad label attached to a brand. The board says copies containing further detail are available on request through its communications office; this article does not claim to have reviewed documents beyond the published release.

Readers comparing an operator should separately consult the current register for the exact product and domain. A historic enforcement announcement provides context, but is not a substitute for a current licensing check.
